Cape Town Fish Market - Sea food
The a la carte menu offers a wide range from the traditional to the more adventurous. There's the old favourite hake and chips, the exotic Abalone soup, the unusual shrimp and avo trammezzini, chic fresh oysters and the classic prawn curry. The seafood platters come highly recommended and you can even pick your own ingredients from the fresh fish on iced display. For those who aren't that partial to seafood, there is also a choice of meat and poultry as well as a number of vegetarian dishes. Children are catered for in a special menu and all meat is halaal.

Ginja - Fine Dining
Situated in the trendy Bo-Kaap district of Cape Town, Ginja occupies the ground floor of an old two storey building. First impression of the interior is that it has an "old warehouse" feel with its high ceilings and heavy wooden doors. However, the rich red walls and art deco fittings combine very effectively to produce a French Brasserie look which is both intimate and inviting.
Acclaimed chef Mike Bassett heads up the kitchen which offers an exciting menu of fine dining based on international fusion cuisine.
The well planned menu is both interesting and impressive with wonderful combinations such as the Double Lamb Cutlets with White Miso Gorgonzola Sauce and seasoned English Spinach, or the Venison Loin with Bitter Chocolate, crushed basil Potatoes and Shaved Vegetables.

Blues - Mediterranean

Pigalle - Seafood and Floorshow
A spacious dance floor and a live band every evening, ensures that Pigalle is able to offer the very best in dinner dancing for its sophisticated clientele (including a fair amount of celebrities).
On the food side, the menu focuses on Seafood and Portuguese specialities. The shellfish - prawns, langoustines, crayfish, and of the course the Seafood Platters, are all highly recommended with tried and tested recipes that ensure that the shellfish is cooked to perfection.
Traditional Portuguese dishes such as Trinchado - spicy beef cubes, and Chorico Sausage are both popular starters together with the pan-fried prawns. Main course specialities include the Duck Mandarin with a Grand Marnier Sauce and the spatchcock Baby Chicken Peri Peri. The desserts are rich and decadent with choices such as the sinfully delicious baked Cheesecake or the smooth rich Crème Brulee. Pigalle is also open for lunch and has a separate light lunch menu to enjoy on the terrace.

Five Flies is a sassy upmarket restaurant situated in the hub of Cape Town’s legal and financial district.

95 Keroom - Authentic Milanese Cuisine
95 strives to provide guests with a glimpse of genuine Italian food, through the use of the highest quality local and imported ingredients. The passionate Executive Chef and owner, Giorgio Nava, is not a believer in luck and in short-cuts. He believes in efficiency and organization and therefore it will not come as a surprise if his supply of everything fresh is assured by his own fishing boat and by his own Karoo farm.
The menu contains firm favourites like our seasonal salads, freshly home made pastas, a full list of raw and cooked carpaccios, fresh fish and ample classic Italian meat creations. Desserts like the liquid-centre white and dark chocolate soufflés are not to be missed.
The wine list offers only the finest award-winning South African and Italian wines, with a large selection of champagnes and methode cap classiques.

Carne - Meat, Meat and more Meat!
Directly opposite 95 Keroom and also owned and managed by Giorgio Nava, Carne has a stark modern design - plain tables, P Starke ghost chairs - which allows the food to take preference.
The emphasis is as the restaurant name suggests, on meat. There is a small offering of pasta dishes, but the menu is designed and caters to meat lovers.
Meats come from Giorgio's own Karoo farm, and range from Sirloin, T-Bone, Rib Eye, and Hangar steaks as well as Ostrich, Wldebeest and chicken.
Presentation is completely natural with no glazes sauces to detract from the wonderful taste of the aged meats.

Wakame - Japanese
Wakame's breathtaking views add a unique dimension to the epicurion delights that await you. The view spreads from the old Lighthouse at Mouille Point, to the gleaming lights of Table Bay.
Food is a word that would be a Cliché in this establishment. Pacific Rim blended with asian fusion & a hint of French & western influence are what hold true from the kitchen. Bukhara appeals to both discerning locals and tourists with a taste of spicy food -"spicy" does not mean hot. The design and situation of Bukhara adds to the overall ambience. One side is flanked by large windows overlooking quaint Church Street, the other side encases the open plan kitchen in glass.
This openly displays the workings of the highly skilled Indian chefs, the authentic charcoal fired Tandoor ovens, as well as the making of the tandoori dishes and nan breads.

The Atlantic - Fine Dining
Situated in the Table Bay Hotel on the water's edge, in the heart of Cape Town's renowned V&A Waterfront, is The Atlantic, a fine restaurant with a focus on cutting-edge international cuisine.
The kitchen employs a highly talented team, led by Signature Chef, Grant Cullingworth, with a more modern and relaxed approach. The emphasis is on classic cooking techniques, using the finest and freshest ingredients, and presented in a manner, which would be expected of a five star establishment.
The signature dish is the Prawn Cocktail which is a play on the old favourite consisting of Tiger shrimp and avocado cocktail with lime crème fraiche. Also situated on the water's edge, in the heart of Cape Town's renowned V&A Waterfront, housed in a beautiful old building that is always the centre peice of every photograph of the Waterfront with Table Mountain in the background. Stunning location - but the quality of food can vary considerably!

Veranda - Global International
Great views, an urban edginess and a big dose of romance. The menu is hearty and unpretentious and the head chef Roy Thomson describes it as “comfort food with a twist”.
Some favourite starters are the Thai Pumpkin Soup with corn fritters and coriander pistou, the smoked springbok carpaccio served with caramelised pear, rocket and parmesan or the leek and gorgonzola tart, an intense flavour freshened with a salad of mizuna, roast pepper and walnut. Jacks - Seafood
This former boatyard has become a household name well known throughout South Africa and indeed internationally for its live lobster, live abalone, live oysters, mussels, quality prawns, langoustines and fresh line fish.
Line fish is delivered daily to Panama Jack's and through our long standing with the fishing community in the Western Cape we are assured of a large variety of fresh caught line fish. Over and above this we have prawns from India, Langoustines from Mozambique and calamari from the South Atlantic Add to this a relaxed Caribbean atmosphere of a wharf side shack in Cape Town's commercial harbour and you have the makings of a wonderful experience not to be enjoyed anywhere else in South Africa.
For those who do not eat seafood we have a variety of alternatives ranging from fillet, rump and pasta dishes. Vegetarian dishes are also available.

Le Quartier Français - Franschhoek
Quite a schlep from Cape Town, but we include it in our list because it was voted the Best Restaurant in South Africa (in fact the Middle East and Africa!) by The UK's Restaurant Magazine in 2007 and 2008 .
